The Qibla direction looks wrong?
Your phone's compass may need calibrating: move the phone in a figure eight a few times and keep it away from magnets, speakers and laptops. You can also check the direction on the map in the Qibla screen.
Why are the prayer times different?
In Türkiye and in 26 other countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany, Kıblem uses the official timetables published by Diyanet (Presidency of Religious Affairs, Türkiye). Elsewhere the times are calculated. Small differences can come from your exact location; make sure location access is on, or choose your city by hand.
Notifications don't arrive?
Check that notifications for Kıblem are turned on in your phone's Settings. In the app, you can choose which notifications you get and their sound in Settings.
Why does the app need my location?
The Qibla direction is calculated on your device. For prayer times, nearby mosques and the weather, your location or city is sent only to the service that provides that information and is not stored on our servers. You can also choose your city by hand instead of sharing your location.
How do I change the language?
Open Settings, then Language. You can choose English, Deutsch or Türkçe, or let Kıblem follow your phone's language.
How can I support Kıblem?
Kıblem is free and no feature requires a subscription. If you would like to contribute, open Settings, then Support the App, for optional one-time contributions. Payments are handled by Apple or Google; Kıblem never sees your card details.
